A mat is a paper or fabric border that goes around the picture inside the frame, while a mount is a backing board that the picture is attached to before being placed inside the frame.
We offer floating frames and traditional frames as well as just stretching to be hanged on the wall with no frame. Canvas prints can also be matted, glassed and framed like a normal print on paper as it is not an original painting on canvas.
Absolutely. The difference between regular glass and museum glass is night and day. However there are other high quality glass such as AR Glass that have the same qualities as Museum glass at half the cost. Regular glass is cheap and will cover the art efficiently so as to prevent any damage. However it will not prevent the art from fading and it will have a significant reflection. It also dulls the image where as Museum glass enhances the image and brightens the colors, has relatively no reflection and is UV coated so the image will never fade. If you plan on having the art for many years to come it is best not to cut corners to save a few dollars. You get what you pay for is the absolute truth when it comes to Framing.
